Bodywork

Okay, Street-n-Track Import dropped off a complete set of carbon body parts this past week and this shows some of the install. These parts are *REALLY* Olathe open house piclight and have good overall race, not show, quality. Some of the body panels can be a bit hard but, if you take your time, you can have a good looking bike after the job is complete.

As I removed the old body parts, I put each on the scales so I could measure the weight loss. All told, I saved 20.56 lb.

These carbon parts did not come pre-drilled so I spent quite a bit of time aligning the upper and lower fairings to each mount point before I started "punching" holes in the skins. From thesram air tubee pictures you can see that I also installed a set of carbon fiber ram air tubes. They don't save much weight but sic with the rest of the body.

Now I need to decide if I want to paint the body or just leave the carbon fiber exposed for all to see.
